Well, Hello I’m Corrina!

Welcome to Country Roots

I am excited to share all about what it means to be a homesteader.

I was raised on the farm in a log home on the prairies, and have always been country at heart and soul. I created this blog to get down all the many ideas and things I have learned over the years and how to build, live and create the farm life we all dream of.

Years ago my life changed drastically when I was in a car accident during my time at nursing school that brought me back to our family farm.  I am excited to share with you all decorating tips, crafts, hobbies and barnyard ideas that have kept me busy and aided in my recovery. You can also listen to the many podcasts from teachers all around who are homesteading.

I am blessed to be born and raised in Alberta with its jaw-dropping landscapes of the prairies, rolling foothills and the rugged Rocky Mountains. Being raised by farmers my roots lie strongly with what it is to be a country. I look forward to sharing my life journeys and faith with you all in our homesteading efforts.

Farming is a beautiful way of life and can be accomplished by anyone!

Let’s learn together here new ways of growing and inspiring how the farmer can be more successful and happy in this crazy and fast-paced world. The art of farming is still going strong and continues to be accepted by those wanting to homestead and live off this beautiful land.
